Travel: Singapore

This is exactly about half a year ago. The trip began with being held up in the custom's office for 10 mins as the officer described the situation as having four Iranians in his office over the phone. Thankfully our delay wasn't long enough for the bus to leave us at the immigration check-point.

The first three nights of our stay, I had reserved a family room with 81 Hotel Classic, a chain of budget hotels all around Singapore. After the second night, to our disappointment, we were asked to switch room to another without a window as our then-current room had been booked previously. That'd only meant that they'd given the reservation of the same room to two different families. My parents didn't like the new room, so finally I was dispatched to go and look for a new hotel for our last night's stay. Fortunately, I found another family room at Fragrance group of budget hotels which was just a couple of blocks away. Fragrance hotel Emerald was, without a doubt, much cleaner and organized as compared to 81 Hotel Classic. Not to mention it was CHEAPER too.

Upon our stay in Singapore with family, we managed to visit the newly opened Universal Studios in Sentosa. It was a blast. Definitely the best theme park by far I had ever visited. Their activities ranged from roller coasters to 3D shows and much more. Each section of the park was dedicated to a major motion picture from Universal Studios which made it a whole lot easier to relate. For those of you who have the patience to wait long queues and the energy to explore the entire park on a single day, it absolutely is worth the entrance fee you pay. Else get yourself a 2 days pass and it's still much worth it. It's some place to forget all about the real world and start new with the world of fantasies.

Another scenic place we visited was Singapore Botanic Gardens. A magnificent view that should not be missed for those who are into nature/landscape photography or just those who simply enjoy greens and nature.

Our other touristy adventures included brief visits around Sentosa beach to relax and Changkat road to window shop. Although my 1st journey to Singapore was short-lived, it was worthwhile before the my semester. And to be honest, I would take the next opportunity to visit other parts of Singapore some day soon. In fact, I'll be visiting Singapore again a week from now after Chinese new Year. This time I shall not fail to try some of its massively commentated local food and delicacies. Let's see what more you've got in store Singapore. Here I go.
